How to deal with excessive residue in the furnace?

2017-02-21

The reason of excessive residue in the furnace:

    1.     Sometimes the furnace long-term lack of carbon, a large number of excess silica dissolved after the formation of thick slag, not easy to exclude.
2. Due to the high surface of the material, the electrode is inserted into the charge depth shallow, the furnace temperature is low, the slag is not easy to be ruled out, especially the electric furnace with small capacity is more likely to produce this phenomenon, so that
the furnace is too much.

     3. Although smelting ferrosilicon slag less, but the iron should be as far as possible out of the slag, so that the electrode deep insert. If you do not pay attention to slag, a long time, will cause too much residue in the furnace.

      4. Poor quality of raw materials, such as coke in the ash content is too high or silica surface and more soil, will increase the amount of slag.

The disadvantages of excessive residue in the furnace:

      1. Bottom up, click not easy to insert, dry down, the material surface permeability deteriorated, the furnace condition deteriorated.

      2. The bottom of the furnace temperature is low, the iron mouth is not easy to open, Lu Yan is not smooth, hot metal flow rate is slow, less iron.

The way to deal with excessive residue in the furnace:

     1. Large capacity of the fan, you can think of iron mouth phase electrode surface by adding 200 ~ 300 kg lime block or in the iron half an hour before adding 100 to 200 kg of fluorite to dilute the slag. Small capacity of the furnace can be added 30 to 40 kilograms of rigid, easy to slag.

      2. Iron to adapt as much as possible out of the slag, the capacity of small electric furnace can also be appropriate to expand the iron mouth, in order to facilitate investigation.
      3. To deal with the furnace conditions, so that the electrode deep insert, improve the furnace temperature.
      4. Ash coke should be used as low as possible, if conditions permit, the silica should be washed to reduce the furnace to produce slag factors.
