Use of furan resin

Furan resins can be used at temperatures of 180 degrees Celsius or higher.Furan resin used for corrosion protection of industrial equipment mainly includes furfuryl alcohol resin furfurone resin furfurone formaldehyde and other varieties.Furfural alcohol resin is obtained by hydrogenation of furfural under 3 -- 10 kg/cm 2 torque and polymerization under acidic catalyst.Furfural ketone resin can be made by condensation polymerization of furfural and acetone under normal pressure.

 

 

Furan resin can be used as cementing agent, impregnating agent, modified with epoxy resin and used as coating. It can also be used to make thermotropic plastics and FRP products.

USES of furan resin:

Furan resin is mainly used as adhesives, clear qi, cement, laminated molded plastic products, especially for casting sand core adhesive, corrosion resistant coating, lining, pipes, valves, pumps, etc., in the nuclear industry as a radioactive material.

Widely used in casting steel, cast iron, nodular iron and high-grade alloy and non-ferrous metal casting molding sand;

(1) chemical corrosion resistant material furan resin can be used to prepare anti-corrosion cement, used as lining of chemical equipment or other corrosion resistant materials.

(2) the heat resistance of furan glass fiber reinforced composites is higher than that of normal phenolic glass fiber reinforced composites and can be used for a long time at about 150℃.
