Carburizer is an essential carbon additive widely used in steelmaking and iron casting industries. It is specially applied to supplement the carbon content of molten iron and molten steel, compensate for carbon loss during smelting, optimize the metallographic structure of castings, and improve the mechanical properties of finished products. It is the core raw material for producing ductile iron, gray iron and precision cast steel.

2.1 Graphitized Petroleum Coke Carburizer (High-end Grade)

This is the mainstream high-performance carburizer in the market, processed by high-temperature graphitization treatment. It features complete graphite crystal structure, ultra-low sulfur and nitrogen content, and excellent carburizing effect.

• Fixed Carbon: 98.5%–99.2%

• Sulfur (S): ≤0.05%

• Nitrogen (N): ≤300ppm

• Ash Content: ≤0.5%

• Volatile Matter: ≤0.8%

• Carbon Absorption Rate: 92%–98%

• Particle Size: 1-3mm, 3-5mm, 5-10mm (customizable)

Advantages: Fast carbon raising speed, high and stable absorption rate, few casting defects such as pores and white mouth, effectively improve the strength and toughness of castings.

Application: High-end ductile iron parts, automobile accessories, crankshafts, wheel hubs, precision machine tool castings, high-precision steelmaking.

2.2 Calcined Petroleum Coke Carburizer (Medium Grade)

A cost-effective universal carburizer with stable quality, suitable for conventional casting and steelmaking mass production.

• Fixed Carbon: 95%–98%

• Sulfur (S): 0.2%–0.5%

• Carbon Absorption Rate: 80%–88%

Advantages: High cost performance, stable carburizing effect, sufficient stock supply.

Application: Ordinary gray iron castings, wear-resistant parts, medium and small steel mills and foundries.

2.3 Coal-based Carburizer (Economic Grade)

An economical and affordable carbon additive, widely used for low-demand smelting production.

• Fixed Carbon: 80%–92%

• Feature: Low price, conventional absorption performance

Application: Primary pig iron smelting, counterweight castings, ordinary crude steel smelting.
